ELEVEN MONTHS

it has just been THE BEST MONTH!  titus is developing at hyper speed.  literally surprising me every day with the way he acts and responds- his demeanor when he is really examining this new world around him.

eleven months!  I totally love you. I cannot believe this time last year I was super duper pregnant and waiting impatiently for his arrival! and now I am sending out the invites for his first birthday party!

  • he started to react to things that are said to him.  "what are you doing?!" or "do you want some?".  he looks around to search for whoever he's been prompted to find and/or will point in that general direction.
  • the POINTING, cracks us up!
  • he says dada-all the time, and has said mama like once.
  • he starting to like FaceTime-hello COVID-19!
  • he's become less interested in drinking from the bottle and more interested in eating solid foods.  weaning him from the bottle will be a piece of cake.
  • he LOVES to drink from a water bottle!  and any other cup he can get his hands on.
  • he has eight teeth (4 of which are currently poking their way thru)
  • he is wearing 6/12 month clothing and in size four diapers.

another great month of eating BIG for this tiny one!  He is definitely growing because he's eating like a horse.  he has been much more interested in table foods, so its been fun to experiment a little more than the last few months. protein is still his favorite.  chicken, beef, meatballs, beans.. boyfriend LOVES steak! but he's become a little more interested in grains- rice, pasta. there is nothing he won't eat at this point and we give him EVERYTHING!

daily feeding/solids schedule:
 7:30am - 8am: 8 ounce bottle
9:30am - 10am: breakfast! eggs + fruit
12pm: 6 ounce bottle
2pm: snack! (puffs + applesauce + yogurt)
4-4:30pm: 6 ounce bottle
5:30pm: dinner! (protein + starch + vegetable + yogurt or applesauce)
7:30pm: bath
8pm: 8 ounce bottle /bed

this boy is ALL OVER THE PLACE.  he surprises me with the things he picks up along the way.

He is pushing his walker, cruising around everything, pulling himself up to everything and standing on his own.

boyfriend.  I love you more than anything!  you have the sweetest personality and you are so shy always throwing your head into my chest anytime someone talks to you! It amazes me how different you are from your brother as a baby and how you are your own person. I adore it!  it is rare for you to be in a sour mood, but when you want someone to hold you, there is no letting up until you are comfortable on someones hip. you definitely know what you want and when you want it.  you love your routine and stick pretty close to it for the most part, but you are pretty easy going when we take you out and about.  just go with the flow and I really appreciate that!
you love to snack and table foods have become much more fun than your bottle.  puffs, yogurt, and applesauce, are the go-to options.
I attest to be taken back at least once a day by how quickly you pick up on various things.
you are on the go-go-go nonstop all day long.
Titus Crete.. thank you for your contagious smiles and amazing personality.  our days are much sweeter with you apart of them.  you are just one incredible light to our life.

TEN MONTHS

our baby(can I still say that) boy is 10 months old! double digits!! WHAT??  Oh, that's just so hard to say. its bittersweet watching him grow, change, and develop. every stage is the new favorite, and Titus at 10 months old has been a blast with a capital B.
happy double digits my little one.

 whats new?
  • the greatest sass pants of them ALL.  he's figuring out how to interpret the word NO,  and when I or his daddy take something away from him the squeals in protest make it crystal clear that he did not like what just happened.
  • he consistently cruising around EVERYTHING and into EVERYTHING.
  • he gives the best sugars, and on command. He loves to kiss himself in the mirror.
  • he has taken to a pacifier more over the past month or more.
  • he's a pretty great sleeper at night.
  • wears 6-12 months clothes and size 3 diapers.
  • laughs and smiles at everything!  Truly the most content child!
  • his smile is just about the best smile ever.
  • his favorite toy is definitely his balls and blocks.
  • we play hide and seek.  he will chase big brother around the island of the kitchen and loose his mind with giggles when he comes into eye's sight. it is the funniest thing!
  • he HATES getting his diaper or clothes changed.  it is HARD to keep him still for what should take just 2 minutes but ends up taking about 5 or more.
  • LOVES the bath and I mean LOVES. I usually need a change of clothes after. he will play for hours if we let him.

this boy.  such an eater.  he's not picky about what I offer him, I have yet to find something he didn't like.  not much even gets on the floor these days, it all finds its way to his mouth.

she's eating about 3 meals/day which he has sort of transitioned into on her own.  breakfast is usually eggs and we are  starting oatmeal in the mornings to practice out bowl and spoon skills.  he likes fruit but prefers the veggies and protein is really his favorite, I think.  his largest meal of the day is dinner.

oh this boy. such a busy body.  turning into this independent little person that makes his way around as he pleases.  his little personality is in full throttle!  but hardly a surprise because he is definitely on a mission to keep up with everyone around him.  he loves to play.. and will contently play solo for long periods of time.
she loves rolling his balls and chasing after them, 'reading' books, blocks.
sitting to standing, crawling and cruising.  he's definitely exploring and observing his surroundings- taking it all in like a little sponge.
separation anxiety is real, he is a MAMAS BOY, the purest definition. he could care less about anyone else in the world. Mama's his girl!

to my sweet boy.  I never thought my heart could swell so much. it blows my mind that you are in the double digits of babyhood! I make it a point in my every day to try not to take for granted your resilience, cheer, sparkle, and absolute beauty. I am floored and completely fascinated by your ability to see nearly everything as wonderful and humorous and we all wish life would be. your smile lights up our every moment, and your laugh- OH I LOVE YOUR LAUGH. your desire and drive to seek out everything around you is impressive and you are a tiny tornado through the entire house- it wont be long before you are up and running all over the place.
thank you for filling our days with laughter and joy and your sweet little face. you are going to be a whole year old before we know it and I am soaking in these last months of babyhood with you in this season.  I cannot believe how richly you have blessed us.
our tiny miracle.
our Titus Crete.
I love you so.
